I started making jewelry a few years ago, when Captain Man introduced me to the world of cruising. I found out early into this relaxed way of life, that my days could be filled with too much idle time. While I love to read, cook and just lay about, I can't do this every single day. So, I set about trying to find a hobby that would allow me to keep my mind and hands busy, but also something that could fit into the confines of a boat. I toyed around with painting, crocheting, and even thought about learning to play the guitar. I finally decided jewelry making suited me better. And that is how I got started. A few supplies and a small work area, and I was set to go.

As you can see with the above picture, the ear wires are not hand made by me. Now I make all my ear wires, jump rings, and components by hand. I use copper, brass, sterling silver and silver plated wire. Most beads are glass or semi-precious stones, unless otherwise noted.

I love making earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. I have an idea for a new line of bracelets that I will share in the spring.
